Tara McErleane-Para
MHC - Intern
Tara is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at New York Institute of Technology. She graduated with high honors from SUNY Canton with a degree in Applied Psychology and a minor in Sociology, where she developed a foundation in understanding human behavior, mental health, and the social influences that shape our experiences.
She is passionate about creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported in their growth. Tara believes therapy should be individualized for everyone, using a person-centered approach and bringing warmth, empathy, and humor to support healing.
As a yoga teacher, she values the mind-body connection and incorporates this perspective to support emotional well-being. Tara is particularly interested in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and issues related to women’s mental health.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, racing thoughts, or physical symptoms, you’re not alone. Through my own experiences, education, and training, I’ve developed a genuine understanding of how anxiety can impact everyday life. I hope to provide a space where you feel understood and supported, where we can work together at your pace to find what works for you.
