Tara McErleane
MHC - Intern
Tara is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at New York Institute of Technology. She graduated with high honors from SUNY Canton with a degree in Applied Psychology and a minor in Sociology, where she developed a foundation in understanding human behavior, mental health, and the social influences that shape our experiences.
She is passionate about creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported in their growth. Tara believes therapy should be individualized for everyone, using a person-centered approach and bringing warmth, empathy, and humor to support healing. As a yoga teacher, she values the mind-body connection and incorporates this perspective to support emotional well-being. Tara is particularly interested in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and issues related to women’s mental health.

I support individuals experiencing anxiety and panic by combining professional knowledge with personal experience. I provide education on anxiety, practical coping tools, guided breathing and grounding exercises, and resources designed to help clients build confidence and manage symptoms independently.
