Sarah Loret
MHC - Intern
Sarah is a clinical intern integrating evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, insights-focused exploration, and mindfulness practices during her sessions with clients.
She strives to create an affirming, collaborative space where people feel safe, seen, and understood. Sarah believes that meaningful therapeutic work begins with a strong, genuine connection, and each session provides an open, empathetic environment to explore personal experiences, uncover strengths, and build practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.
Sarah is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. She comes to clinical work with a background in early childhood education, community services, and nonprofit development, supporting children, adults, and families through major life transitions and complex emotional chapters.
She is particularly interested in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and women’s mental health. She is committed to offering thoughtful, culturally responsive care that supports clients in understanding themselves better, building resilience, and creating meaningful personal growth.

My approach is integrative and tailored to each client. Depending on your needs, I draw from psychodynamic therapy to explore underlying patterns, CBT to address unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, ACT to strengthen coping and values-based living, and IFS-informed work to support self-compassion and internal clarity.
