Therapy for Professionals In New York

Live your truth, trust your choices, and step into a future that feels right for you

Laura Casciola

MHC - Intern

Laura is a Hunter College graduate student obtaining her master's degree in mental health counseling and has been developing her relationship with comprehensive wellness for several years. Welcoming any method of conversation in sessions, Laura holds the deep belief that talking is inherently healing, and allows us to remove power from the concepts in our minds and give it back to ourselves. Each client has a unique thought process and Laura aims to meet them with an approach that feels most connected to them, while gravitating toward the use of psychoanalysis, narrative therapy, and existential therapy.

Laura is specifically connected to experiences around anxiety, grief, family, infidelity, self worth, control, and body image, and how such issues are informed by identity and the environments and systems we exist in.

I work with individuals, couples, and families to better understand the stories that shape who they are. With warmth and curiosity, I use narrative, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches to support healing around identity, anxiety, grief, body image, and relationships.
