Kristen Carratala
MHC - Intern
Kristen is pursuing her M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University, and holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida. She works from an integrative and client-centered framework, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness practices to support each client’s individual needs and goals. She prioritizes collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and the therapeutic relationship, striving to foster a caring and intentional environment where clients feel heard and empowered. Kristen is dedicated to meeting clients where they are, guiding them at a pace that feels right for them as they pursue healing, deeper self-understanding, and enduring emotional wellness.

I integrate IFS, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy with mindfulness and positive psychology. Together we will explore the patterns and inner “parts” shaping your experience, while building practical tools to help you navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and life transitions with greater awareness and self-compassion.
