Katherine Syme
MHC - Intern
Katherine believes the healing of emotional wounds is rooted in connection, community and meaningful relationships. She brings this belief to the therapeutic space by fostering a supportive, welcoming and compassionate environment for clients to feel safe exploring their emotional selves and learning tools to approach lasting issues with new perspective. Her intuitive, grounded and non judgmental style also leaves room for humor and candidness.
She is passionate about working with people to help interrupt the cycles of generational trauma; men who are interested in developing a deeper emotional connection to themselves and people working through life transitions such as a new career, the ending or beginning of a relationship, or parenthood.
Katherine uses an integrative approach including psychodynamic, CBT and mindfulness, to support clients through periods of growth towards emotional connection in order to reach their full potential.
In her spare time, Katherine enjoys pilates, cooking elaborate meals for large groups of people and traveling to new places.

I'm passionate about working to interrupt the cycles of generational trauma; men who are interested in developing a deeper connection to themselves and others; and people hoping to find more ease and understanding of themselves as they work through transitional life changes such as a new job, relationship or parenthood
