Jocelyn Weiss

MHC - Intern

Jocelyn is completing her M.A. in Forensic Mental Health Counseling at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and holds a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Wisconsin Madison. Her areas of clinical interest include depression, trauma, mood, and personality disorders. She has experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with substance use, anxiety-related disorders, depressive and mood concerns, and navigating life transitions in both group and individual settings.


Jocelyn uses an integrative and person-centered approach to therapy, pulling from various evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic approaches. She tailors her eclectic approach to each client’s unique needs and goals, emphasizing ongoing collaboration to help clients gain the greatest benefit from their sessions.


She values building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients and is committed to creating an accepting, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported in navigating difficult emotions and experiences while working toward meaningful growth in the areas that matter most to them.
