Brenda Lopez
MHC - Intern
Brenda Lopez is a Mental Health Counseling intern pursuing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lehman College. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered and multicultural frameworks, through which she collaborates with clients to help them regain agency and grow in their personal lives. Brenda's areas of interest include identity exploration, life transitions, and working with neurodivergent clients of all ages.
She brings extensive experience working with children to her practice. She believes healing happens through reflection, trust, respect, and genuine collaboration, and is committed to offering a nonjudgmental space where clients feel free to explore who they are and the role they want to play in the world. Brenda is a first-generation Guatemalan American who provides services in both English and Spanish, and she welcomes clients from all walks of life who are seeking a space for understanding and exploration.

I offer individual talk therapy in English and Spanish. My approach is person-centered with a cultural justice lens. You guide the conversation; I listen without judgment, and we make space for how culture, identity, and real-life pressures shape your experience. No need to leave parts of yourself at the door.
