Intern at Jamron             Counseling

From Student...

to Professional

We are proud to partner with local colleges and universities to provide placement opportunities for interns looking to complete their graduate hours. As Jamron Counseling is a private psychotherapy provider, we offer a broad range of experiences from clinical hours to administrative tasks designed to broaden comfort and competency in working with individuals and learning about running a practice. Nurturing and educational direct supervision is provided to all interns on a weekly basis with the aim to improve practical skills and develop preferred therapeutic orientations.

The internship program at Jamron Counseling offers a robust internship program that enables students to accrue both indirect and direct hours in a multitude of ways. In addition to weekly supervision and patient sessions, students have a dynamic staff at their disposal and have the opportunity to meet for both open and closed group supervision weekly. Jamron Counseling also recently implemented peer counseling sessions with supervision to allow for more support to be offered around the counseling session itself. When interning at Jamron Counseling, one can expect:

  • Individual weekly supervision to reflect on performance in the last week, caseload, diagnoses, clinical questions and interventions attempted (1 hour)

  • Weekly Group Supervision – closed group (1.5 hours)

  • Rolling Group Supervision – open group (1.5 hours)

  • Peer case consultation with a supervisor present

  • Opportunities to write blogs for our internal newsletter

  • Opportunities to develop and co-facilitate groups

  • Caseload of approximately 6-10 patients

Jamron Counseling has multiple locations throughout North Brooklyn where interns can be placed. To learn more, please contact us at (347) 952-4750 or email at
